SCUFF

  •         a note with wet shoes
    wanders into the film late
    and still gets a close-up.

someone feeds the curtains reverb.
the lamp begins to hum in b minor.

  • a woman made of trumpet smoke
forgets her line and becomes the score.

nobody mentions the horse in the wallpaper.
    good.

Scuff works with directors, artists, and cultural producers to develop the sonic identity of moving image work. Our practice spans music supervision, sync licensing, and original sound curation across film, fashion, and art.

We draw from experimental music, underground networks, and an international community of artists.
We come from inside the publishing and licensing industry — and we use that knowledge in service of the work, not around it.

Behind SCUFF is Iza IJzerman, whose work moves between music, film, and creative production. With a background in publishing, sync, licensing, and visual storytelling, alongside studies in Music Business at Berklee, she brings both creative instinct and strategic understanding to the projects she touches. SCUFF grew out of a desire to treat music as more than an addition. It is a way of shaping atmosphere, identity, and feeling across film, fashion, and art.
